I think it's time that I start sticking to my New Year's resolution. I will start to post more on my blog.

I've been a very busy girl. Especially now that the snow's here. Oh I love snow so much. It's my favorite thing ever. I even bark when I play in the snow and I NEVER bark!

Today I took my brother outside in the backyard to play. I loved burying my head in the snow. Oh he thinks I'm pretty funny.... I thought I was pretty funny too when I shook snow all over him.

Now that my brother's so big we loooove to play together. Hmm... I wonder what's on your belly???

It was a trick!!!! He just wanted to kiss me!!!! But that's okay, because I looove to get kisses from my brother.

Sometimes he loves me so much and he just doesn't want to let go of me!

When he does, I'm always within reach to love him if he needs me to... or if he needs me to eat some of his food.... I'm terribly good at that!

My little brother N is getting sooo big now he's eating big people food!

So now that he's eating people food I love to make sure that I'm always around to, you know, help Mom and Dad with clean up. Of course!

My brother is just growing up so fast! We're really becoming the best of friends.

Our favorite thing to do is snuggle. We snuggle in the morning, afternoon and evening. He loves to pull on my beard, but I don't mind, I just give him the biggest, wettest kisses when he does it.

And N is SO lucky, he gets to sit with Mom and Dad when they eat dinner! ON THE TABLE!

And now, he's moving! He rolls around and of course, I'm there to cheer him on!

And Tallulah and him, they're about the same size, so sometimes when I'm just too tired from loving N all day long, Tallulah will snuggle him so he doesn't get too lonely!

Yesterday N was sitting in my big leather chair, well, it's Dad's big leather chair, but I like to sit in it too.

He just finished eating, so I thought that I would be helpful and clean him up a little bit.

But that just wasn't enough, I just wanted to snuggle with him, so I climbed up into the big leather chair and we cuddled like brothers and sisters should.

And then, I turned my head for one minute and when I did, he was sucking on my tail! My brother is such a silly little baby!

This morning, Dad, N & I had a really good snuggle in bed! I'm teaching N well - he took Mom's spot in bed! I always keep Mom's side of the bed warm for her when she wakes up to feed N in the middle of the night - I'm just that good of a daughter!

Oh, I've been so busy in the past 2 months. Mom and Dad brought me home a new playmate - a little bundle named N.

He didn't do much at first, but now he just loves to grab my beard and hold on tight! He also just loves to watch me when I sleep, and I like to watch him when he sleeps... that's when I can steal his toys and take them to a safe place!

Sometimes I'll even share my bed with him, and he lets me lay in his gym... we love to snuggle!

And Tallulah, oh, she just loves him too! Sometimes she even gets to sleep with him at Nighttime, such a lucky girl!

My favorite cousin, Tucker came to visit on Tancook and we ran and ran and then I taught him how to dig. He even taught me something - he taught me how to swim! I went swimming for the very first time in my short puppy life! It was soooo much fun and I smelt like seaweed for the rest of our trip!

But, Tucker's a wee bit older than me, so he gets tired easier. He tried so very hard to ignore me so he could rest, but I just wasn't going to let him - it's so rare that we get to see each other, I had to make sure that he was all played out!

Earlier this month, Mom, Dad and I took our annual road trip to the East Coast. This time, we were lucky enough to spend some time on Little Tancook Island - a small island off of the coast of Chester, Nova Scotia.

First we had to take a ferry! My very first boat ride and I was a super-good girl! Not afraid at all.

Then I had a bit of a romp around the island - so much room for me to run!

And then we arrived at our new home for 3 nights. Dad's cousins bought this house and refinished it - it's so wonderful inside! We stayed with Grammy & Grampy Taylor - they spoiled us rotten, I can just imagine how spoiled the baby will be when he comes!

Mom went to the One of a Kind Show today and came back with some goodies for the baby... of course, I'm her baby right now, so I thought that she bought all of these things for me! Especially the monster - his name is Mitch and I really just want to taste him!

She also bought a bib, Dad thought it would be funny if we put it on Tallulah... she didn't think it was so funny.

Mom and Dad keep talking about how there's a 'baby' coming to live with us in August. Well, today, the first of the baby's things arrived at our house, and we set it up to make sure it works okay - well, Tallulah was the tester, I'm just too big, and she loves the new baby toy.

We both love the music and mobile... I liked to nip at the little toys.. Tallulah was just relaxing. She spent an awful long time in the swing!

I wonder if I'll get to test out any of the baby's things?

This Afternoon, Dad thought we should give the local Squirrels some snacks to help them through the winter, so he sprinkled peanuts on the back deck and Tallulah and I waited patiently for the squirrels to come.. and they did!

Mom, even though she hasn't been feeling well lately, decided to join us on the floor to watch the squirrel enjoying his snack.

Now the Squirrel won't leave our deck!

It's been very busy around here for the holidays, but Dad and I were able to snuggle up in his big leather chair. Who knew I'd become a 60 pound lap dog?!?

I also decided that now I'm over a year old, it's time for me to have my first taste of beer... Dad didn't think that would be such a good idea, so I just stuck my tongue in the bottle!

While Dad and I were having some quality time, Mom was busy decorating the Christmas Tree.

As you know, yesterday was my birthday... it was a very busy day! Mom and Dad went to work early in the morning, but Dad surprised me by coming home early and taking me to play with all of my friends at Doggie Central.

Then when Mom got home from work, there was a delicious peanut butter carrot cake with cottage cheese icing... mmmm

So, I blew out the candle...

And then it was time to dig in!

Tallulah finally decided to join the party! She ate some cottage cheese.. yummy!

And then I got my birthday gift from Mom and Dad - a new WestPaw bone... I've been carrying it around all morning today... I just love it!

Dad and I went out to check the mail this morning, and it wasn't just the usual
b-o-r-i-n-g things like bills and magazine for Mom and Dad - I had Mail! How very exciting indeed! I was a little hesitant at first, because I don't get mail very often.

So, I did what I do best - Lay down and try to destroy it. Mom helped me to open it and find out what was in it.

A Barkday card from my Grandparents in Nova Scotia! I pondered over it for a little while.

I shook it and shook it, but there wasn't a treat to be found in it...so I left it for dead and moved onto shaking my favorite stuffie.

If I get surprises before my barkday I just can't wait to see what I get on my actual day!!!

I've been a very busy girl enjoying the summertime. But, now the leaves are changing color and fall is coming. And with fall comes a very special day - my first birthday. I will be turning one human year on October 6th! I wonder what Mom and Dad are planning for me?

Today, I went into the kitchen looking for Tallulah and couldn't find her anywhere- Dad reached into the cupboard above the fridge and felt some fur... it was my sneaky sister!

I've been working very hard at my Obedience Classes and this week was my Graduation! We played Musical Chairs and had a relay race, and I won three prizes!

I've always been very good at Sitting and Down, but now I know more complicated things, like Off, Heel and Prime Position! There's just one catch. I only do these things on my own time, not when Mom and Dad want me to.

After Graduation this week, Mom and Dad took me to the Ice Cream store for a Very Special Treat. They said it's the last bit of human food I can have for a while, because of the Intestinal Bug I have. It was Deee-licious!
My tummy is feeling much better now, since my friend the Vet found out that it was Clostridium that was causing all of my problems. I took the Tylosin and am doing much better now. I don't have to eat the Yucky Gastro food anymore - I'm back to eating my delicious Orijen, with some Merrick's snuck in here and there.

I haven't been posting very much lately. I've had a bit of a tummy bug. Tomorrow Mom and Dad are taking me to see the Doctor to find out why my poo is bright yellow. I might have to take pills to make me feel better, but it's better than those eye drops.

Mom and Dad have been trying to help me feel better by not feeding me all day yesterday, then feeding me chicken and rice this morning and evening... boring! They haven't fed me any people food in ages.

Oh well, this weekend Gram and Grampy Bryson are coming for a visit and we're taking them to Lake Erie for a Camping Trip. You know what that means? Hole digging. I'm so excited! I even have a new airecut so I'll look very pretty for them and I'll be nice and cool in the warm weather!

Wish me luck at the Doctor tomorrow!

Today some very nice men came to install an air conditioner. Now I don't have to lay on the cold tiles to cool down... I just lay directly on the vents where to cold air comes from.

It's a heat wave here in Southern Ontario, and it is stinkin' hot! I don't really want to do much of anything. My new favorite thing to do is lay on the tile floor in the kitchen.

Last night Mom, Dad, Tallulah and I slept downstairs on the main floor to beat the heat.

Mom is making me Kongsicles - Kongs filled with wet food and frozen... yummy!

This Morning when Mom took me out to do my business, we saw a Great Blue Heron... I pretended like he was very handsome, but really, all I could think about was having a little taste of him!
But, then it was time to go home, and I was ready to get in the car and go see my sister Tallulah!

Camping... Day 2

On our second day of camping we all slept in. I took over part of Mom's sleeping bag, and nuzzled up with her and Dad until 10:30am. Then we went on a car ride into the nearest town to pick up some supplies for dinner and afternoon snacks.

We had a snack of Strawberry Ice Cream. Mom and Dad brought a big Orange Ball, filled it with goodness, and even more goodness came out!

It was so delicious, I just couldn't get enough of it!

Then we went for a swim in the creek behind our campsite after our hike through the old Mill Ruins.

After that, Mom and I had a rest in the Yellow House, while Dad read a magazine, and then he built a fire. I watched, because I'm not allowed to get too close to the fire, but it's okay, I didn't want to get close anyways. I really don't like when all the smoke blows into my face!
Then when it got darker, Mom and Dad got some sticks and put some White Puffballs on the ends of them and stuck them in the fire.
I was a little skeptical at first...
But, as you can see - It turns out that I LOVE Roasted Marshmallows.

Camping... Day 1

Mom and Dad took me to Rockwood Conservation Area for my very first time camping. After a short drive we arrived at our campsite.

Then I helped Dad set up our new house... a big Orange and Yellow Tent.

And then I sat around wondering what I should do with all of my spare time. So, in true terrier style, I dug a hole.

I've been so busy lately helping Mom and Dad with packing and moving into the new house that I haven't had a chance to post on here.

Today was a very busy day for me - I went to Doggie Central for the day and played with all of my friends. When Dad picked me up, he brought me to a brand new house. There's so much more room for me to chase Tallulah, and there's a big park right behind us where a lot of dogs walk their humans! I can't wait until our yard is all done so I can watch Squirrels and Birds all day long.

I even get to go back to Doggie Central tomorrow ... you can watch me on their Webcam! I have so much fun when I go there! All I do is chase other dogs, get rubbed by humans and drink all the water I want!

Today I'm just taking it easy, lazing around the house. I'm on what Mom and Dad call 'Bedrest.' It's okay - I like my bed.

My tummy doesn't really hurt, but I sure am tired. I'm taking Medication in the morning to help with any pain that I have.

I have to wear the Evil Lampshade at Nighttime when I'm sleeping. I cry when I wear it - I can't see anything. Last Night I even got stuck in the Corner of my Crate. I'm trying to be a very good girl and not lick my stitches. Mom and Dad might even let me sleep on the bed with them tonight if I'm really good.

Another Quick Update - Sophie's surgery went really well and she'll be home this afternoon.

The Vet said that she is Recovering 'Extremely Well'.

Chris will pick her up on his way home from work and things will be back to normal around here... for 2 weeks, until we move to the new house!

Update: Just called the Vet - Sophie is still doing well. Heartworm tests came back Negative and she will have her Surgery tomorrow morning!

This is Sophie's Mom - we just got a phone call from Sophie's Vet and her bloodwork came back from last night, and it looks like her White Blood Cell Count is a little elevated. The Vet said that it could be one of two things: Parasite or Heartworm. Her surgery has been postponed until tomorrow - as long as it's just a parasite.

So please - cross your fingers (or paws) for a parasite!

Other than that - he said that she's not stressed - everybody likes her and she's doing just fine!

Tallulah and I love to watch Mom cook. So, Dad, helped us out and got us this Rubbermaid Tote to sit on - We could see that much better! You can see my new Collar in this photo!

Tallulah thought it would be a good idea to get into Dad's empty beer box... I had a good time watching her try to get in...
She made it and was very cozy - but it was a tight fit!
Tonight I go into the Vet before my big operation tomorrow morning. I like going to the Vet - Everybody there is very nice to me and I'm sure that everything will go just fine - Mom is the one who's nervous and she's the medical professional!

I've been a very busy girl lately with very little time for blogging! Mom and Dad have been taking me to lots of different places. Before we left Halifax to go to Moncton, I had a play date with my cousin Tucker at Point Pleasant Park. He got to go off lead, but I had to stay on my leash for most of the walk, because I don't really come back.

But, then we found an area that was safe for me, and Mom and Dad took my leash off and let me play with Tucker! I had so much fun chasing him. We ate sticks, ran around and laid under a picnic table.

On the way to Moncton, Mom and Dad stopped and bought me a scoop of Strawberry Ice Cream - Delicious! I ate the whole thing all by myself!

I arrived safely in Nova Scotia to meet my Grandparents Bryson. Before stopping here, we met the Taylor's in New Brunswick, where I took all of my toys from my bed and hid them in the living room away from everybody else! It was like a game - Dad would give me the toy and then I'd go hide it.

And Then... When we got to Nova Scotia, there was an entire bed full of stuffed animals from when Mom was little - I LOVE stuffed animals! I like to carry them around in my mouth, shake them, and then use them as a pillow.

But... Then the humans had ribs for dinner... I LOVE meat... Well, I really just love to eat anything, but it's definately a special occasion when I get to have some meat. And my Grampy Bryson, he just kept feeding me meat all night.

Today I go for my first haircut. This isn't puppy stuff anymore!

Last night Mom and I were on a walk and somebody asked if I was a Poodle! Pshaw! It's a good thing I'm getting a haircut today, then nobody will mistake me for a poodle anymore!

Tomorrow we leave Toronto to drive to see Mom and Dad's family in Nova Scotia and New Brunswick. Mom and Dad were talking about taking me to the Ocean and letting me swim in it - I love the water!

Tomorrow night we stay in Maine and then on Friday I go too see my Grandparents Taylor... I just know they'll love me!

Oh boy - It's Girl Guide Cookie time! Somebody at Mom's work was selling these tasty morsels, and Mom, being the philanthropist that she is, had to buy a box to support the little kiddies for their camping trip! And I sure am glad she did!

First, I have to inspect the box... by tasting it!

Oh - I really like these Vanilla cookies... but I wouldn't know what the chocolate ones taste like.. the humans won't let me even have a taste of chocolate! Oh gee.

Mom and Dad are talking about getting another dale in a year or two to have around the house to keep me company. They want to get him or her from a rescue organization. I was just surfing the net and came across lots of Airedale Rescue sites - I wish we could rescue all of these dales and live on a farm together. With Mom and Dad too of course.

It's spring now, so Mom and I have started to go on longer walks. Today we walked all the way over to Bark and Fitz (We were gone for 2 hours) - Mom was looking for a new collar for me, because I'm outgrowing the one I have now. We didn't find anything there, but, when we got home, Mom did some looking around on eBay and found this beauty...

I love getting mail, I can't wait until it arrives so I can rip open the package!

Mom didn't get me a collar at Bark and Fitz, but I got some of these tasty treats!

And the man at Bark and Fitz told me I have a really nice face... if only Tallulah felt the same.

Oh - and I saw my Uncle on our walk... he wasn't too interested in me though, but he sure was a handsome boy!

Today I went to one of my favorite places, Doggie Central. I played with lots of other dogs, and now I'm soooo tired. It's a very nice day outside today, but I'm so tired I can barely even walk!

I woke up this morning with a bunch of yellow gunk in my eye and it was pretty pink. Mom, being a nurse, decided that I should go to the Doctor to get some eye drops. So we went to see my friend the Veternarian, and he said that Tallulah just plays a little too rough with me sometimes and that she must have scratched me yesterday.

But, because I have an eye infection, the humans felt bad for me and I got to have some Buffalo in my dinner tonight and I got a new toy! Her name is Ursula and I just can't stop playing with her.

Today Mom and Dad gave me a very pretty pink tag with my Name and Address on it, so that if I get lost somebody will bring me back to them... I really like it - I feel even prettier with it on!

Today after Mom got out of the shower, I decided that I wanted to have a bath. I'm preparing for a summer of swimming. When I was done in the tub, I tried to get out but I got stuck on the side of the tub... oh dear!

Mom and Dad keep jabbering about 'Camping' this summer. They keep talking about sleeping in the woods and swimming - I'm not sure about this. I've only been swimming in the bathtub, but I'm always up for an adventure. I think I even heard Mom talking about a Water Wubba just for me!

Dad was working all weekend, so Mom and I made the best of our time together. We watched movies, cooked yummy food & played in snowbanks!

Today I went to the Puppy Spaw. I got a bath and a haircut! Now I can see without all that hair in my eyes. They even trimmed around my bum - how embarassing!

This morning Mom left Dad and I at home alone for a couple of hours to buy some stuff for the new house. I haven't seen the house yet, but Mom sure does buy some nice stuff for it.

Mom just brought me in from a walk and when we got back I found my water bowl looking like this.

Yesterday I was resting on my bed and my big sister Tallulah decided to give me some love in her own special way... with her teeth and claws.

Today I lost one of my front teeth. Mom noticed that it was a little crooked today and that I wasn't eating, had a runny nose and that my ears felt a little bit warm. I think she called this teething. So, I get to eat frozen mangoes and yogurt frozen in a kong because it helps my teeth feel better.

Grandmother Bryson asked for a picture of me and my sister together. Although it was tricky because she smells so good all I want to do is eat her, Mom was able to get a couple of nice photos of us together.

So today after Puppy Daycare I got TWO rewards for being such a good girl. After I finished up my Sausage, Mom gave me a brand new Red Wubba! I love it so much that I carry it around with me everywhere! Hope you like the photo of me with my new friend!

Tomorrow I go back to doggie daycare for the day again - then Dad comes home! I'm so excited to see him, I keep looking for him in bed every morning, but Mom tells me he's in the Hospital. I sure do hope that he's okay!

Oh boy - today I went to doggie daycare and did I ever have fun! I made lots of new friends, big dogs and little dogs! I was sooooooo excited to see Mom when she picked me up my tail just wouldn't stop wagging and I just wanted to keep kissing her.

Mom bought me some of my favorite treats and I got to eat one on the way home - a very yummy Cowboy Cookout Sausage.

She also bought me some Cookies made with Carob - so delicious - Mom said I can have one tonight if I'm REALLY good at puppy class - better be on my bestest behaviour!

Doggy Daycare

Mom just told me that tomorrow I will be spending the day at Doggy Daycare. I'm not quite sure what this is yet, but Mom says that it's a place where I can play with other dogs for the day... sounds like fun!

There is also a woofsite where you can watch the webcam of me playing tomorrow with all of my new friends... you have to download something to watch it though - it's worth it, because I'm pretty cute!

I spend a lot of time on my doggy bed that Mom and Dad gave me for Christmas - but I like to pile all of my toys up on my bed! Today I had 2 Kongs, a Tricky Treat Ball, My Rope Toy, A Rawhide Stick and my dental chew.... yummy! I'm a very busy girl.

Yesterday Mom and Dad took me to the lakeshore. There were a lot of big birds, but they weren't so friendly. I went to see them and they all flew away making a lot of noise. This scared me and I ran back to Mom. So when we came across the next duck pond, Dad held me up so I could see them, and I started to get a little scared when they started to walk over to us....

Puppy Kindergarten

On Tuesday nights Mom and Dad take me to Puppy Kindergarten where I learn new commands and socialize with all of my puppy friends. This week I did 7 puppy push ups in 30 seconds, not too bad considering I really wasn't paying attention. I also learned how to pay attention to Mom and Dad when they say 'Look at Me' - I even get a treat when I do it!

Then I got to play with my friends. My favorite puppies to play with are Maverick the Goldendoodle and Chloe the Border Collie. I also like to play with Little Man the Chihauhua, but he's so small I have to be very gentle with him - I don't really know what this word gentle means yet, but Mom and Dad keeping using this word so it must be important.
